Learning to abide in Eye-Center enlightenment is a two-step process.
During Step-1 "On the Enlightenment Path" the goal is to try to reach and enjoy the experience of eye center enlightenment. And during Step-1, most new seekers are advised to choose a personal meditation style, or cultivation practice that helps them to: gently, tenderly, and effortlessly reach clear awareness (devoid of thoughts, emotions and mind-body awareness).
There are many different effective cultivation methods, and each seeker should try to find the cultivation practice that works best for them. If you’re not sure what’s best for you, then experiment with each method for at least three days. You’ll know that it’s working, when you start to experience fewer disruptions from incoming thoughts and emotions.
When you find a method that resonates with you, try it out for at least a week or two.
The best Step-1 cultivation methods include: (1) following a short breath up into your forehead, (2) melting into the center of the energy build up in your forehead, (3) tenderly melting into the gap between your slow-mantra phrases, (4) repeating Dao or Om with your voice until it creates an energy/consciousness vibrations in your forehead - where you simply need to rest, (5) feeling and then falling in love with the Divine Presence in the air, and then in your forehead, and (6) deeply relaxing until you can relax beyond all mind-body disruptions and then relaxing further into eye center enlightenment.
