How to begin the Search for Absolute Awareness
Includes quotes from Ramana's favorite book, the Ribhu Gita
The Ribhu Gita
The Ribhu Gita is one of the most significant, and least unknown, spiritual doctrines ever written. It was also one of the most frequently quoted teachings of Maharishi Ramana.
It’s near impossible to determine the exact date that the Ribhu Gita was written, but it’s safe to say that it was compiled during, or shortly after, the creation of the Vedas. Thus, it was probably written somewhere between 50 CE and 500 CE.
On Saturday morning, November 12, I gave a podcast about how creation evolves from and then eventually returns to Absolute Awareness. Human beings are a fractal copy of absolute awareness. And therefore, human life begins from absolute awareness and, eventually, returns to absolute awareness.
This is not something that we could ever hope to learn and fully understand in school. It’s also not something that we can ever hope to fully comprehend in our minds. But it is a self-evident experience in absolute awareness.
A Podcast on the experience of Supreme Awareness
The following podcast will help you to understand what Ramana and Ribhu Gita were talking about.
The Ribhu Gita uses the term Supreme Awareness to describe the ultimate level or the region of Divine Awareness. Buddha called it Nirvana. Captain Ji used the term Super Being. The Vedas often call it Brahmin, or the greater Self. Ramana refers to this same state of consciousness as Sat-Chit-Ananda-Bliss. Soami Ji called it Radha Soami. And I often refer to it as Celestial Awareness.
But it’s much, much more than just a term.
It’s an immortal experience - that happens at the core of our awareness.
It’s also an experience that you will eventually have!
